Patrick Byrne- Bass Guitar Player & Teacher

My name is Patrick Byrne and I am a professional bassist and tutor based in Surrey. I regularly gig, working around the UK and I have also been teaching privately for several years, helping numerous students from beginner to advanced level. I studied the bass for two years at the Academy of Contemporary music in Guildford, graduating with both a BETEC and a Foundation Degree in music performance. Since then my professional experience has included working as a musician on P&O cruises and numerous tours, gigs and recording sessions. I am available for paid work including functions, tribute bands, musical theatre and recording. For samples of my playing, please click on the links on the right hand side of this page. As a teacher I cover areas such as technique, sight reading, aural perception and music theory, as well as helping students towards grade exams. I am available for house calls and charges a flat rate of £25 for an hour long lesson.
